Happy Easter - Table Decor

Happy Easter! - I've have patiently waited for the Easter holidays to arrive because it's one table I have yet to be creative with. What I love about this time of year is the weather, the colours & pastels that emerge from wardrobes and that cheeky indulgence on chocolate :)

Some of the tableware seen in these images were previously featured in my Mothers Day Post.
With personalisation being ever so more 'the' perfect touch to the way we shop, order and book things I wanted to bring that to my table and create a memorable Easter dining experience.

Sweetie bags - remember going to birthday parties as a child and receiving a 'goodie bag' towards the end of fun day well I saw these cute green & white striped sweetie bags in Tiger and couldn't wait to fill them with sugary treats and wrap them up with ribbon. Sorry savoury lovers, although a few pretzels would have been just as good right? Or chocolate covered ones hahaa!

Mini Nutella? How could I not, especially when it's on sale for £0.50 at Selfridges right now - stock up! Almost creating a stream of the mad-hatters tea party where anything goes, I rummaged through the cupboard and came across these Salt & Pepper measuring cups and filled them with banana sweets. The grass I picked up at Tiger, I'd normally use something like this as a table runner but as my table is quite long I used it along the width.

Egg-fest - These metallic Favourina multicoloured chocolate eggs came from Lidl which was a simply touch to table.
Big eggs are great but they don't accommodate all tables well unless it's a nicely shaped chocolate figure that does't crowd or clutter your space. The Favourina Easter Egg mix contains three different eggs, milk, orange and strawberry, all so tasty.

Thank you all for viewing and I hope you enjoyed viewing this just as much as I enjoyed putting this together.

#TopDeckAsia x Kurobuta by Trends on Trends

Trends On Trends put together a great lunch at Kurobuta to celebrate the launch of Topdeck's new guided trips to Asia.
Topdeck Travel unify's like-minded, adventurous people to travel across different parts of the world.

Korubuta is a Japanese served restaurant, we was presented a 8 course mouth-watering meal to enjoy in the company of great creatives with a table full of camera's, exchanges of stories and present laughter to fill the room.

The table full of personality had these cute pebble shaped crayons and a colouring in piece of paper which highlighted a ingredient that was highly used in that part of Asia. - Sooo cute!

It was a beautiful experience, meeting new people, sharing food and creating new memories with each other.

Chef Scott Hallsworth put together the most amazing dishes for us.
The food was so full of flavour and it really did go down a treat! Has to be the best Japanese food I've had.

Thank you for viewing, see you soon!

Building The Table Spread - Mothers Day

This Mothers Day my inspiration for my table came from my Resin Mirrored tray I have from Zara Home. This mirrored tray is beautifully framed with gold details, it catches my eye so heavily I could find no way not to use it. I wanted to build upon it with watered sky blues and a array of bright bursting colours. Our tea pot took and unfortunate turn for the worst and broke into some pieces.
We hesitated in throwing it away and being the creative my mother is she found other use for it.
As you see it's become a vessel for flowers.

The plates used in this setting come from Ikea, they have a soft rigged edge and a fine curved line that follows around the plate. The cute and petite cake stand comes from House Of Fraser - Linea Pave it's out of stock at the moment but they may have it back in stock shortly. The blue placemats are a lot wider than this and can take up quite some space. I folded these smaller and then used a secondary gold placemat on top to tie in with the gold resin mirrored plate. I had floral blue mugs in a similar shade to the place mates but only two but I needed a third. I went digging in the cupboard for this gold lined, squared mug, which I can only describe as a 90's orange and it worked well.

Thank you for viewing and I hope you go onto hosting more meals around the table with friends, families or even your fellow creatives. - Happy Mothers Day!
